Does Viagara Work?

The section below was written by John

Viagra Connect is the same medication, containing the same active ingredient and working in the same way. Viagra and Viagra Connect both contain sildenafil, which lasts around 4 hours. One medication does not last longer than the other. You need a prescription for Viagra, but not for Viagra Connect.

Tadalafil and sildenafil are each made by different medicines companies as they are both generic or 'off patent'. You will have heard of the brand name Viagra, and its active ingredient is sildenafil. Tadalafil is also known as Cialis. Brand-name medicines tend to be more expensive, so it's cheaper to get either Tadalafil or Sildenafil as generic medicines. Generic medications work the same way as brand-name medications, but obtaining the branded versions is easier.

The main differences between Tadalafil and Sildenafil are how quickly they work and how long they last. Tadalafil helps you get an erection within 30 minutes, whereas sildenafil can take up to an hour. Sildenafil can be effective for up to 4 hours. With Tadalafil, the effects can last 24 to 36 hours, which is much longer than sildenafil.

Tadalafil is available in 4 strengths, and sildenafil in 3 strengths. The lower dose strengths (2.5mg and 5mg) of Tadalafil are used daily for men who have sex more than two times a week. The higher doses of Tadalafil and the Sildenafil doses are for use as needed, not more than once a day.

I use Viagra Connect 50mg, and that seems to be ideal for me.

I would love to have sex more than twice a week, but at my age, that is unrealistic. But Viagra Connect (has allowed me to increase the number of times I can ejaculate. As age increases, I tend to ejaculate less frequently, but Viagra helps me stay sexually aroused and my penis sufficiently erect to penetrate again. The average time for me to ejaculate from vaginal intercourse is just under five and a half minutes, but my wife says penetrative vaginal sex that lasts from 1-2 minutes is "too short," and sex that lasts 10-30 minutes is "too long." Meanwhile, "adequate" sex lasted 3-7 minutes, and desirable sex lasted 7-13 minutes.

So, as I said, my ED and sometimes premature ejaculation were causing my wife some sexual frustration, and that was one of the reasons we decided to embrace threesomes and swinging.

My wife and I are both in our sixties, and sexual intimacy is still an essential part of our marriage. Despite our age, we both have libidos that many would be envious of, and it isn't unusual to have sex several times a night and at least three days a week.

During my working career, I often had stressful jobs which caused erection problems, which made me feel ashamed. My wife found it challenging because she didn't understand what was happening. Eventually, we found time to talk about my erection problems and spoke to my doctor, who prescribed Viagra when I was in my late forties and early fifties.

It worked, and we resumed our 'normal' sex life, and it helped when I had a change of career where there was less stress and anxiety.

Unfortunately, I noticed last year that it was becoming increasingly difficult to get an erection or keep an erection that's firm enough for sex. My wife was having fewer orgasms and, despite not saying too much, was becoming sexually frustrated and was secretly masturbating more to achieve an orgasm.

Therefore, I decided to speak to my pharmacist about Viagra Connect. She asked me a few simple lifestyle and medical questions and confirmed that it suited me.

I'm in my mid-sixties, and Viagra is an absolute must! It has a numbing effect that's both good and bad, but my erections are more prominent and hard as a rock.

Big, hard throbbing erections that feel incredible! A whole lot of fun!

I can go as long as possible to meet my wife's needs, so it's worth it. After multiple orgasms - my wife says, "No more - I don't have any more in me "- I sometimes pull out for her to bring me to climax with her lips/ mouth/hands ….

Unfortunately, my wife does not like to go for second rounds so much, but we enjoy a threesome, so I am confident I could do it but perhaps not cum again.

Peter's Thoughts on the subject

John, Thanks for your comprehensive article. My initial thoughts are that I react to Viagra different to you. I can still get an erection without Viagra, but Viagra does considerably strengthen it!

Our local pharmacy only sells one strength of both Viagra and Cialis. When I first tried Viagra I was unaware of what side effect might result so I cut the tablets into thirds, so took a third of the dose. The effect was most impressive with a massive rock hard erection in about 20mins.. The effect starts to wear off after an hour.

Cutting the tablets into thirds is a bit fiddly, so I now just cut them in half and the effect is very much the same.

I've also tried Cialis. You can't cut them in half as the contents of the capsules are runny so I just take the whole pill. They do work, but everything is more gentile. It takes about 30 mins to work and I have to work harder to get the same degree of rock hard erection as with Viagra. But saying that the effects do last much longer, way over 6 hours.

Here is a report from someone who has tried Viagra, with great success:

I am writing to report on the effects of Viagara. I see that you are interested in this on your web site, you have my permission to show the two pictures provided. As a 44 year old male with erection issues this is the
result of the first prescription of Viagara. The dose was one half of a 30 MG pill. The dose was taken with water 45 minutes prior to a stimulating nude massage. The erection was a surprise, full and hard, with even the head of the penis engorged and solid. We measured fully erect at 7 1/4 long and six inches around with an up angle of about 50 degrees. The hardness of the penis was like being 21 again full hard throughout.

 Before

 After

Through stimulation the ejaculation took somewhat longer than usual and had a squirting effect unknown for years with one spurt on my shoulder and one on my chest, total 6 spurts. (4 days since last orgasm) Previous to Viagara the ejaculation was with semi hard penis and dribbled out. The re-stimulation provided a new
errection soon after at same hardness and intensity with the amount of ejaculate diminsihing as normal. During the six hour period it was tested to see the maximmum effect available through oral and manual stimulation and an incredible five ejaulations were possible with number 5 being essentially dry save a droplet however the errections were all the same, very very solid.

I was so pleased with the rerults, it was amazing to have such a vibrant hard erection. The photo is of an actual Viagara erection. Will also report back on the Levitra and Cyalis. What was surprising is that with Viagara there was no warning about what would happen, that is iIfelt the same prior to the sexual encounter so to speak. Within a few minutes of the start of the nude (both of us) massage it rose to the occasion and stayed incredibly engorged and my level of stimulation was powerful, arousal that is. I did experience some insomnia that night which may have been a side effect.

This is an email from Nigel:

About 3 years ago I plucked up the courage to visit my GP and ask about the problem. In truth I went about something else and used the fact that I was there as the excuse to broach the embarrassing subject.
As a single guy, now 53, I had enjoyed masturbation with a hard cock many times. But in the last year or so things hadn't been as hard as before and I realised that I needed to get some help. I was nervous that the only recourse might be to injections or even an implant, and I didn't relish that thought. Since I seldom have sex I wondered if it was even all worth it! But after much thought I plucked up the courage as I have said. My GP didn't ask too many questions thankfully, and suggested I try Ciallis first.
My experience with this drug was disappointing in that it gave barely any reaction at all! I persevered but without any success and so returned to my GP a couple of weeks later. He then suggested Viagra and I crossed my fingers that this would work. It did!
Not in the explosive blinding light way, but over a few attempts I found that the response was coming back. There is nothing so satisfying for a guy as to have a firm boner jutting out, horizontally (or better), and to feel that extra weight and rigidity swaying from his groin! Of course along with the firm erection everything else follows such as increased libido, sensation and even orgasm are all improved.
I have a few side effects but most are minimal. I used to get headaches an hour or so later, but after taking advice that drinking plenty of water after the tablet this seems to have been mitigated.
It is not 100% reliable even under the best of arousing situations. On two occasions I have visited a girlfriend with the mutual intention of have a sexy afternoon. Taking the Viagra about 30 mins before arriving I sought to ensure I was going to be upstanding for her, but alas nothing happened, on either occasion! So Viagra is not able to overcome nerves or apprehension.

I still look to it for my 'support' and even for a casual 'self play' in the afternoon there is nothing to beat the boost it gives me.

Hi Pete.

I'm 69,(a very good number.) MWM, Bi.

I have used Viagra, Cealis, one other,(name escapes me). Most have unpleasing side effects.

I have a 5 1/2 penis, cut, very thick and has a large head! Others are somewhat envious,

I love to masturbate and have all my life from age 12.
My spouse does not arouse me like before, and stop giving me oral. My main reason to turn bi.
I frequent nude beaches and a local adult nudist park, and love to have a least a partial erection most of the time, in view of others.
I now have to take Cialis, in order to do so, unless another person stimulates me. But that rarely happens early on.
Cialis has less negative side effects. So I prefer it.

I would like to contact others that use this help.

Side effects of Viagra, Cialis include neck ache, slight nausia, and maybe week kneed.
Good effects": Viagra does have a qicker result in my erections, stays harder without manual attention. Cialis takes longer to begin stimulation, and I have to masturbate slightly to keep erection.
I would rather not take anything, and have someone else stimulate me. If you know what I mean, I go to an adult nudist park near me, where open erotic nudity is very accepted. .

Papaverine-Fentolamine

There are alternatives to viagra, one of which is papaverine-fentolamine. I'm not a doctor, but a quick search on the internet says:

Papaverine belongs to the group of medicines called vasodilators. Vasodilators cause blood vessels to expand, thereby increasing blood flow. Papaverine is used to produce erections in some men with erectile dysfunction. When papaverine is injected into the penis (intracavernosal), it increases blood flow to the penis, which results in an erection.

Papaverine injection should not be used as a sexual aid by men who do not have erectile dysfunction. If the medicine is not used properly, permanent damage to the penis and loss of the ability to have erections could result.

However, one reader of my website who does not have ED has tried it and the results are impressive. This is what he says about using it:

"There are several brands on the market for injecting papaverine-fentolamine into your penis. This will give a long lasting erection, Independent of arousal or sexual activity. Brands I know are Caverject, Trimix and Androskat. This will give me a very hard erection that will last for 4 hours. After I fucked, the erection stays on, so I can fuck and cum several times during those 4 hours. The injection also has the effect that it takes much longer to cum, so you can also fuck much longer or receive long lasting blowjobs without cumming. Because the erection is very hard and thick I can give a very good anal fuck.

A side effect is that the night after I used the injection I will awake because in my sleep I get extreem hard erections. And the following morning I will have a long lasting and very hard morning erection. This effect is gone the next night/morning. There are no other side effects, so no headache or things like that.

It is of course a bit strange to inject yourself in your cock, but the needle is very small and thin, so you feel hardly anything when you inject. It is important to massage the penis right after injecting to spread the papaverine-fentolamine in the penis. After about a minute the penis start growing and after a few minutes the erection really starts. After 10 minutes my cock reaches maximum hardness and thickness. My penis grows in thickness from 30mm to more then 45mm.

In porn movies you sometimes see actors that have these long lasting erections while fucking several ladies. I suppose they also used this injection too."

I now have three pages which cover similar areas:
